At the start of the Val d’Aran and only 1h 30 mins from Toulouse, Le Mourtis is a family friendly ski resort. Located in the heart of a magnificent forest that is home to brown bears, deer and other small animals.
Le Mourtis has 23 km of pistes including 8 green, 5 blue, 5 red and 2 black runs ranging between 1380 m and 1816 m altitude. There are 13 lifts including 2 chair lifts and 2 rope tows, 2 ski schools (ESF and ESI) and a new snowpark.
As a family friendly ski resort, children are well catered for at Le Mourtis. The nursery welcomes little ones and has a playroom, video and dormatory. Prices are 5€ per hour, 12€ for half a day and 20€ for a full day. Older children have their own club play space including 2 toboggan runs, 2 snow gardens, 4 lifts and the possibility of ski lessons.
In addition to downhill skiing, Le Mourtis also has 15 km of marked trails in the woods for cross-country skiing and 45 km of forest trails for snowshoeing . We can arrange for a mountain guide to take you on these trails if you wish (please see our other page with information regarding showshoe holidays). The resort also offers dog-sleighing on a 5 km circuit.
At the foot of the slopes there are shops, restaurants, cafes, fitness area with a heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.

Superbagneres resort is in the heart of the Pyrenees with an exceptional concentration of peaks over 3000m.
The lift from the centre of Luchon allows you to access the slopes of Superbagneres in just 8 minutes. Divided into 3 sectors, Superbagneres offers a wide variety of slopes and a spacious new snowpark.
Techous Sector is accessible from the gondola with gentle slopes and a KidiPark. This area is ideal for beginners and children and hosts the Glisses snowpark. Superbagners has introduced special access for beginners to this area allowing them to practice the rudiments of skiing.
Lake Sector offers blue and red runs for skiers in the heart of the forest. Ideal for beginners who are ready to progress from Techous and the baby slopes.
Céciré Sector is the highest part of the resort. It offers long blue runs (including a 5km long piste) red and black runs making this sector ideal for all skiers and, as a bonus, has unparalleled views of the Pyrenees.
In total, Superbagneres has 32 km of slopes including 4 green, 11 blue, 7 red and 6 black runs. There is a snowpark, cross-country skiing area and places where you can toboggan. Every Wednesday the gondola stays open until 2030 hours.
In addition to downhill skiing, visitors can experience other activities including paragliding and snowshoe walking. A new activity ”Airboard” has been introduced and is a popular choice with many of our guests.
Luchon is a beautiful spa town (known as the Queen of the Pyrenees) and offers an abundance of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, cinema, disco, casino and the famous spa with its underground natural caves and pool.

Known as “the Domain of the Gods!”, Nistos is a magnificent cross-country skiing area at an altitude of between 1600 m and 1800 m
Nistos offers 8 cross country and skating routes and 50 km of trails for snowshoeing (1 green, 2 blue, 4 red and 1 black).
The circuits are named as follows: Erge (3km), Sylvain (5km), Cybele (7.5km), Abelio (9km), Belisiama (10km), Ageion (2km), Arixo (6km) and Fagus with black trails).
Whether you are on foot, using snowshoes or cross-country skiing, Nistos is ideal for those who like hiking. It offers classic skiing and ice-skating, snowshoe tours, sledding and activities for children.

Peyragudes ski resort is split into two areas – Agudes and Peyresourde. Together they have 60 km of pistes (5 green, 20 blue, 20 red and 4 black slopes) that cover an area of 1500 hectares at an altitude of between 1600 m and 2400 m.
There are now 3 circuits for snowshoeing, ideal for discovering the scenery, wildlife and the magnificent mountains. The resort also has the Vallee Blanche, an off-piste route consisting of 6km of groomed pistes.
At 2000 m the snowpark has everything you need to enjoy a great holiday with 6 tables (4 – 12m long), a hip and slide bar and is sponsored by Horsefeathers (King of Snow).
Other activities at Peyragudes include husky rides, paragliding, speed riding (combining paragliding and skiing), airboard (inflatable sled) and if you wish you can spend a night in an igloo with a mountain guide.

Baqueira Beret offers limitless on-slope entertainment. There is cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, snowshoe walks, guided hikes through the mountains and much more.
If you are learning to ski, the resort has 16 schools and over 350 ski instructers who can speak Spanish, English and French.
Baqueira has 120 km of marked and groomed pistes. 78 slopes (6 green, 36 blue, 29 red, 7 black), a 7 km Nordic skiing circuit, a Snowpark and slalom stadium plus endless off-piste skiing making this resort a favourite and a special place to visit.
